If you are interested in setting up an audio-visual system in your home, it is important for you to know the various parts of one. There are seven main components that most such systems have.
Component #1: Media Player
All audio-visual systems have some type of media player. The type of media player depends upon the system that you have set up. The media player could be a digital turntable, a projector, a DVD player, or many other options. The media player should either play music or it should allow for the sharing of visual media and sound at the same time.
Component #2: Mixer
A mixer, also known as an equalizer, is a tool that is used to make sure that all the levels come out at the right level. A mixer or equalizer allows you to control the sound and choose where all the sound is going and how it sounds coming out of your system.
Component #3: Speakers
When one thinks of an audio-visual system, one of the major components that one thinks of is a speaker. A speaker is the component that allows you to hear the sound that your system is producing. There are a variety of different speakers that you can attach to your audio-visual system, and the placement of these speakers is important.
Component #4: Subwoofer
A subwoofer is a special type of speaker. A subwoofer is designed to carry the low-tones and sounds from the media you play on your media player. A subwoofer adds a variety of depth to whatever you are playing on your media player.
Component #5: Inputs
The next component of your audio-visual system are inputs. Inputs are anything that you attach to the system that are not integrated into the system. For example, a microphone would be something that you can input into an audio-visual system. These are components that you would use your mixer in order to even out the sound.
Component #6: Outputs
The next are outputs. Outputs are things that allow you to enjoy the media. An output would be something such as a television that your media shows up on a screen, or a projector that you use to watch your DVD. Most outputs in an audio-visual system involve some sort of screen.
Component #7: Cabling
Finally, there is the cabling, or all the cables that are used to connect the different elements of your system together.
Your audio-visual system will contain many different components. All these components are necessary in order to set-up an audio-visual system that will allow you to enjoy your media.
